Got a Question....
 

I was climbing down the tree tonight (I've got a climber) and it hadn't got dark yet. I was about 3/4 of the way down and heard something behind me. I slowly turned around and noticed that a small doe had walked up behind me. I looked a little closer and saw another deer about 10 yards to her right. I stayed as still as possible but one of them still saw me. She blew , and then they all busted out of there, ran about 40 yards , blew about 5 more times , hopped the creek and scattered. By this time , I realized that there were about 8 deer in all. I can't believe they made it that close to me , after making all the noise coming down the tree. I don't ever come out of the woods before dark , but I had somewhere I had to go. Do you guy's think the deer will return even after seeing me ? How long should I wait to go back down there ?

They're likely to come back through and I'd move to another tree. They may look for you where they've seen you before. I watched a doe come down the field I hunt Saturday evening and she went right for my permanent stand where they've seen me a couple of times during bow season. She was looking up at it and testing the wind all the way. I was 150 yds. down wind but the message was clear. She'll need to be removed. Good luck.
