How far?
 

Just curious whats the average distance you shoot a deer at with gun or bow?I think most of my bowkills have been about 15 yrd shots and most of my gun kills {muzzleloader}have been under 30, theres a few exceptions where Ive made longer shots but that seems to be about where my average is.Usually I have to shoot this close due to the stuff I hunt in and around, cattails, heavy switchgrass, thickets etc...Also we have no rifle season.

Its about the same here.Terrain and cover dictate the shot.

My avg. bow shot is probably about 15 yards. With a rifle, we easily reach out to 150 yards on average.

my average shot with bow is about 16 yards and average with muzzleloader is about 57 yards

I'm in the 60-70 yd range with my 12 gauge slugs. Longest was 137 yds, shortest about 12yds. Mostly though 60-70.

Have yet to get one with the bow but average gun range i would have to say is 150-200yds

It depends where I am hunting, but would say most bowshots 20 yards and under and between 30 and 100 yards for rifle and ML.

I have yet to kill one farther away than 100 yards regardless of weapon. I can't use a rifle here though. My muzzle loader is sighted in for 130 yards and will shoot well out to 150 but I have not had to do it yet.

Most are between 40 and 80 yards some closer.

I won't shoot past 30 yards with my bow and I prefer it to be between 20 and 25 yards.

Since 2000, I've shot 17 deer with compound and CB, all 25yrds and under.;)
