DOG KILLER?
As pointed out, can everyone please look at that first kill again and tell us what you see. I have never seen a deer waving its tail from side to side nor have I ever seen such a long tail and that is what I see unless my eyes are going bad. Can the rest of you confirm that it is a deer with a wagging tail?

Great shooting, but its not hunting...

RE: Long range hunting! *VIDEO*
We allhunt in different ways. That is very impressive shooting. I look it it like this, I try to master the wind, my surroundings, my stand, my camoflauge, to get close to deer. I am proficient in shooting but noexpert by any means. These guys takethe oppositeapproach. They master shooting to eliminate the need to master the rest of the stuffand the need to get close to deer. Think about it, they don't have to worry about the wind(except for windage), spooking deer on the way in, getting caught moving, etc. And it is all because they are great shots. Some might say they are doing it the smart way as they take away a lot of the deers advantages and are exremely low impact hunting, as in not spooking deer by being amongst them. Not really for me butI have killed some deer rifle hunting that were a pretty good ways off so I'm not going to judge them. As far as wounding animals, I'm sure they wound no more or less than the rest of us. Just my opinion.

How come everytime somebody posts a video or tells a story about shooting a deer or another game animal at very long distances people always rip into them? Just because you can't shoot at the distances some people can doesn't mean you need to make up for it by complaining about their supposed "poor" hunting ethics. I'll admit right now, i can't shoot anywhere near 890 yards but i applaud those who can. I have seen people in real life who can also shoot that far. i haven't seen them shoot an animal that far, but i've seen consistent groups of 5 inches or so. Just because people are shooting deer at 800 + yards doesn't mean they aren't hunting!! And for some people to say it takes the fun out of it?? Apparently you have never shot anything at a long distance. shooting just a prairie dog or crow at 300 yards is a rush. i can't imagine shooting a deer at 890!!! that would be awesome!!!
People really just need to quiet down and not be so damn hard on those who have better shooting abilities!! they've put their time in on the range!! |

They NEVER SHOW the misses and the poorly hit and lost animal. Any fool can make a Vidio of a success or two. Go out under all conditions and see how easy it is to miss a distant target like that. Or worse yet, hit it poorly. Great fun for long range Targets. Not live animals. If you can't get closer than that, better buy your meat in a store. Everyone has an opinion and thats mine. SLOB HUNTERS.

RE: Long range hunting! *VIDEO*
It looks like they had meat on the ground to me. Maybe they only hunt like that when the situation and conditions are right for it, we don't know. Many are assuming that they wound a lot of other animals and just aren't showing it, again, we don't know that. I know hunters that wound deer at 50yds, 100yds, etc. What is the distance cutoff for "slob hunters" because I want to make sure I never exceed it.
In my opinion there is a big difference between stating an opinion on an open topic and berating hunters whom you do not know. |
