Default OK photo and story

This deer is from 2004 I shot him with a 30-06 in Ct.

I was hunting the third day of the season with a friend and my son. At about 8:00 am I heard a noise behind me, I turned and saw a doe. Since I haden't taken a deer yet I shot her she of corse ran down the hill and died. After dressing her and dragging her back to the truck I said to myself now what am I going to do? the guys won't be back for a while I can either sit in the truck or climb back in my stand. No brainer! I climbed back up in my stand and not 15 min. latter here came this brute. I was so excited when I first saw him I almost shot at 200 yards. But he was walking right toward me so I calmed down a little and waited. When he was at about 60 yards I let him have it. He took off running so I shot again and down he went. I knew he had a good rack but I wouldn't let myself look at it while he was comming to me. When ever I got down and unburried it from the leaves he plowed in. Well lets just say I was happy. Just goes to show you even with all that commotion shooting the doe and dragging her out you never know. I never had him scored what do you think he will score his spread is 28 1/2 inches.

I know I'm bragging but I don't have anything else to brag about and this is the place to do it.

Congrats to you on your successes. I love that palmated one. SO much character. Do you have a front view of him?

Very nice. I would turn down a big deer for that. I seen one years ago, had the chance to shoot it but held off, thought I would do better and still kicking myself.
