Hunting sheds

Ive been curious and haven't found a lot of info on here about hunting sheds. Ive never done this and was wandering if there is a certain type of area that deer shed their rack. I watched a guy on TV and he always hunted along the edge of a woods in a field. Any advice or a link to a good site.

Try this site. http://www.shedantlers.net/

I have only been hunting sheds for a few years, with little luck. I hear of guys finding like 100 antlers in a day, here that isn't the case. I have only found two antlers so far, one in a big open field, and the other in a plowed field. Fields are a good place to check, at least for me. I also like to check thicker brushy areas around deer trails where bucks travel because the low brush can knock the antlers off if they're ready to go. Good luck,
Nina

This is somthing I recently started to do to take up some of my free time since hunting season has been over. What started me is I shot a nice deer the last part of Dec. who had already lost his antlers. Now I have been hunting for them as much as I can which has been 3 times. I have found an antler each time but so far they have all been last years. 2 I found in some real thick stuff off a field and one in a field. I personaly think that the best area is near a bucks bedding area as it is usually near a thick escape area. Stay on deer trails that go from fields or open areas to thick areas. Any way thats where I have had my luck so far.
