Maybe once in a two week period.

If you have a certain deer patterned and haven't gotten a shot yet, I would consider hunting that stand until the deer starts to notice you. Make sure the wind is right for where the deer should come from, and always enter and leave quietly. But if the deer don't mind you shouldn't either.

As long as I am still seeing bucks, rarely more than 3 days.

well sometimes i will hunt a stand all weekend if im seeing deer out of it everytime. But i also like to give my stands a rest. On my property i have over 20 different hang-ons so if i think that a stand is no good i just move to the next one. But if you are hunting it and deer see you out of it and bust then i would give that stand a rest and hunt somewhere else and try to be as still as i can

I won't hunt my stand any two days in a row. I feel that the deer will catch on if they sense something in the tree and then sense it again the next day. That will ruin the whole setup. I put at least one or two days in between the hunts in each stand. If deer pick me off in the stand I won't hunt it for about a week.

I personally have never played the wind and didn't have any deer pick me off this year(thatI know of). This is just my decision. I feel that using scent elimination is more than enough. I had deer come in from all different directions this year and it would have been silly to try and play the wind. It is never certain which direction they'll come--they can come any way they want.

Tyrus, I agree. If they don't know anything's wrong and conditions are right, hunt it.

I have only 2 stands on my primary huntong land. I have never set in one. So i guess until the season is over.

As many as I have to if I can get away with it.

It all depends! Bow hunting I will not hunt the same stand 2 days in a row. gun hunting I will stay with it as long as I am seeing deer

2 days the first Illinois season and 3 the second season. Over working a stand or wind doesn't affect me. I'm on the cornerof a private hay field bordered by government land, a creek crossing to my right, cedar thicket behind me and a large oak stand to my left. Deer where I'm at can come from any direction.
