Moisture collector

Inside the barrels/cans of spin feeders has anybody else had problems with excessive moisture, to the point the corn gets wet and clogs up? I'm thinking about using one of the moisture collectors you hang in closets to absorb the moisture. Just wondering if anybody else had tried them like that?

I haven't tried it from a lack of need to, but it should work if you change the collector often enough. You can buy silica gel in bulk at craft supply stores fairly cheaply, make one bag to sit on top of the corn in the feeder and another to keep as a spare for when you need to bake the gel dry.

Tryhanging a pantyhosewith white rice in it. Rice works in salt shakers to absorb moisture.
