High Roller?
anyone ever heard of a deer called "High Roller" raised by an Amish farmer that scored 377 @ 4 years old in 2003...then in 2006 @ 7 years old scored 418 and a half..25' inside spread and outside of over 40' with 53 scoreable points.
I got my new journal of teh alabama trophy hunters association mag...and this article was in it. |
RE: High Roller?
googled it and it came up with this...along the lines of what you said...

Thats all I can say |
RE: High Roller?
His name is High Roller and he is alive and well on an Amish Farm in Central Ohio. On the Journal of the Texas Trophy Hunters TV Show episode first airing Tuesday July 27, High Roller will be darted, semen extracted, and will measure over 377 on the Boone and Crocket, with 44 scorable points. And he's only four and one-half years old. As a bonus- if you make it to any of the Hunters Extravaganzas® this year, you'll see "High Roller" in living color, that's right, arrangements have been made to have a life-sized replica of this awesome Whitetail on display at each Hunters Extravaganza® in Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston. Click here for more info on Hunters Extravaganza®. |
RE: High Roller?
He is huge, but "farm raised" or deer "raised behind fences" do nothing for me. I prefer the all-natural deer that are not kept as pets and "grown" to be big.

RE: High Roller?
I really detest those hideous non-typical racks. I hope it doesn't escape, and infect the wild gene pool. I'd rather have a nice symmetrical 150" 8 point on my wall than that monstrosity. A whitetail is not supposed to look like it has a mesquite tree growing out of its head.

HERE HERE!!!

RE: High Roller?
ORIGINAL: Ridge Runner guess you typical fans wouldn't shoot a buck like that in the wild, due to the hideous appearance of a rack that if weren't pen raised would best the non-typical record by 85 inches. RR |
RE: High Roller?
What an animal, farm raised or not! That is an awesome deer!
|
RE: High Roller?
not my cup of tea...i prefer spikes and button bucks:D
|
RE: High Roller?
I wish he would spend a horny month with some of our nannies.
|
RE: High Roller?
He probably wants someone to put him out of his misery so he does'nt have to carry that thing around with him anymore.:D
|
RE: High Roller?
High roller looks pretty unhealthy except for the rack. I think I could beat him in a foot race.
|
RE: High Roller?
Ohio and hunting in fences? What is up with that?
Terrible, shame on you! |
RE: High Roller?
It's always been fascinating to see just how large some of the genetically superior farm bucks can get! High Roller is truly an exceptional animal and his brother is also of legendary proportions! Also, don't forget Golliath, before his death he was the largest anltered whitetail ever known to have existed... simply amazing!
|
RE: High Roller?
ORIGINAL: ipscshooter I'd shoot him and try to convince the other duys on the lease that he's a cull buck due to the hideously deformed rack. ;) |
RE: High Roller?
Oh yeah, shoot a pen raised animal and be proud of it!!!!
[:'(] If you can not do it fair-chase,stay at home. You have no place in the woods. |
