Pics of my first deer
 

Well it's take awhile to get these pictures up but i finally did the quality is decent. I'll go ahead and tell how i got this nice little deer. I'd been hunting some on the weekends and a friend of mine wanted to hang a tree stand out on my property so about a week before archery season we hung a nice stand in a good spot. it wasn't very far from our barns only about 200 yards. i then let that stand sit till the monday before opening shotgun season on saturday (this is in indiana) this was the first monday i was able to hunt after school since i'd had football all season i got home from school climbed up in my friend's stand at about 330 and didn't see anything except a few deer running across a run on the other side of a field i'm in then i look in our pasture to the right and saw a couple of doe come out into the open i watched them for awhile and saw a buck of some sort start chasing them around so i just got a rattle so i gave it a rattle or two and got his attention so he went into a low spot where i couldn't see him till he came over a ridge about 75 yards from my stand he then started coming my way by this time my heart was beating about a mile a minute it went into the woods about 50 yards away into some real thick stuff and i didn't see him so this gave me a little time to calm down and i saw that a small basket six was following him so i thought that the first buck had gone on down away from me so i was watching the smaller buck then i heard a crash and he came out into a clearing about 30 yards away and started walking my way he got about what i thought was twenty when it was actually 15 so i aimed with my 20 yard pin and hit high but i got lucky and hit in the spine and dropped it.
deer was an 8 pointer with a 17 1/2 inch spread longest tine was 10 inches and he field dressed at 212 pounds well there it is first deer i ever killed after school with a bow after hunting for 3 years with everything you can kill a deer with in indiana

Great buck, the only thing you may have to hunt several years before you top that one, Congrats.
