check out some of these blinds

This one retracts down to change locations and then you just crank it up and your ready to hunt.

This one was a camper in a former life.:D It still has a bench in it for the kids to take a nap.See the thread that I had about catching flies.

I have some more coming.

This is a blind/stand in a tree.

This was a water tank in a former life.[8D]

This one is across a creek in a little thicket in a cattle field. In is about 10' off the ground.I think someone left some orange in it.

This was a little project my stepdad started to have a place for his grandkids to hunt comfortably out of.It exploded into many blinds, there are many more but I didn't get pictures of them all.

those are pretty cool.... They get me pumped about building some new stands and tower blinds for next year.

RE: check out some of these blinds

He is actually working on one right now.

He is supposed to be able to pull it up to a spot and drop something and back the 4-wheeler up and raise the blind 8'.:eek:It will work,no doubt. He has too much time on his hands. If I get a chance,I will get pictures of it it the building stage.

Very nice, and would be awesome for cold weather hunting on private land. Throw a buddy heater in there and your set.

I think blaze orange should be required on those things, especially during rifle season.

There are several that look like the last one with wheels on them on the farm, but without the dish.I have a spare dish and a quiet generator.

Nah,I'll just take the portable dvd player for the kids.[8D]

That camper might be a fun ride on a windy day.:D

I live in Henderson Ky but the blinds are set up in Webster Co Ky.

You can see why I like hangons over climbers.;)

I ONLY use these blinds when I hunt with my kids.Or maybe in a downpour.[8D]

I have not sat in a real blind for many years. I stalk and sit, stalk and sit.
that water Tank looks like a entrance to a bomb shelter or some kind of bunker. To cool way to recycle.

The last one actually looks better in the picture than it really is(the stand is fantastic but placement). It is in a cow pasture that has a small clump of trees around it.I happen to be across a creek and couldn't get to it without a 20 minute ride. The only time you see deer from it is the opening weekend because it is on a travel coridoor between 2 big woods. We catch them coming and going.:DThere is another one on the other end of the pasture lot and there is always deer killed from both on opening weekend of rifle season.

I like 'em. Good job making hunting more enjoyable for the kids. I know that mine would be more apt to go if they could sit in one of those.

Rebel,that is a great program.

We have someone that hunts with us that is in a chair.(from a hunting accident)he sits on his 4 wheeler and covers up with a blanket.Kills many deer.

He doesn't want a blind.

What do you think of that Hydralic Blind?:)

RE: check out some of these blinds

That is pretty cool.I don't know if you read my post but my stepdad is building one at the moment that can be lifted by backing the 4 wheeler up.Maybe not exactly suited for the type hunting you are showing here but still pretty neat.

TFOX 01-13-2007 10:57 PM

RE: check out some of these blinds

I went and checked the progress of the new blind tonight. There has been a slight engineering change. He isn't going to use the 4 wheeler to lift it but rather he has attached a battery operated winch.Just push a button and then unhook the 4 wheeler and climb in.I didn't have my camera with me.Maybe next time.
