Live wt _______
Field dress wt is 78 to 79% of live wt
Boneless wt is 58% of field dress wt

i would have to say that after processing deer for about 15 years and doing hondreds of cutting test your "average boneless yield is 30-40% of hanging weight but that can be drastically affected by many things such as shot placement, # of shots how long did you hang the deer etc. the average yield bone in is 50-55% again many things controll this number...........DAB

What do you think of the % of the field dress wt and live wt?

I would say about 45 to 50 % of live weight.167lbs.guess 70 to 75 lbs.
the way I clean them,I save a lot the butcher want (because of there time)

You should get 33% out of it or 56 pounds of meat.

I would estimate about 40% of live weight or about 65 lbs minus meat damaged by the shot which can vary a great deal.
