RE: What can't you go out with?
I always "hope for the best but expect the worst" so what I "always" carry is a list of stuff.
but if I had to to limit myself to a few things aside from my weapon and ammo, wallet,FLASHLIGHTand binoculars.
1.Cold Steel Voyager(medium)I pick this up every morning on my way to the bathroom.
2.I would feel naked without a good Bowie.(I like the Cold Steel Trailmaster)
3.Waist high forked stick
4.Jerky+20oz water

RE: What can't you go out with?
extra cologne
pack of cigerrets
bag of chips
j/k
warm camoflauge and a hunters orange vest
nice Rugerrifle with a quality Nikon scope plus extra ammo (never know)
warm hat or ear muffs, and gloves
good solid pair of boots and boot socks plus always an extra pair locked tight in a ziplock baggie
thermal underwear plus extra set in waterproof bag
flashlight plus extra batteries
GPS
working radio
small pop up tent just in case I get caught in a storm
matches
cans of soup, spam, or corned beef hash and some granola bars
matches
hatchet, saw, multi-tool/knife, sharp skinning/gutting knife
some of those heat packs
water and sometimes an energy drink
That's all the stuff I will take with me on my un-guided hunt in the foot hills some day but for now I sit in a well heated blind
