What do you do with sheds?
 

I was just wondering what everyone does with their sheds that they find, cause i found an elk antler out hunting this year and i dont know what i should do with it.

ive never found sheds but my uncles father in law trashes them cuz hes run over a few w/his tractor.

but he only has whitetails.
no elk in Ohio but i wish there were.
and i would personaly keep them.

I would use them for rattling , if I was lucky enough to find a match then I would mount them on a pole or my shed.

I've only found 1 intact, 1 side of a 10 pointer. Found a few pieces that the rodents have already started to chew on. My one and only is on the shelf behind my desk at work. Makes a dern good back scratcher..........................

My wife collects, old vintage bottles... I collect antlers... :D I just keep them in a pile and look at them every once in a while

In my hunting room I have a couple of sheds that I keep on a shelf as decoration. I ended up using them as a hook for mylanyards and calls. Kinda neat.

A couple things I've done. Also have a sword-stand, keyrings and a letter opener somewhere.

Yah i was thinking of making into a coat hanger or something along those lines.

By the way Greg thats quite the talent your bro has there but i dont think i would be able to make a knife out of the base of my shed cause up the two points right there unless u used the main beam part.

Rattling if you find a nice pair, get a pair of those knives made (I'd rather get one made with a buck I shoot.) Nothing else productive to really do with em' so I'd just keep em' for decoration, put it in the wall use it for a rack for something with lanyards and what not.

i keep a collection of the ones i find.

First pair of antlers I get im making a coat hook. Put it on a plaque and mount it near the door.

Alot of people do it up here. You just can't find that many on an outing, unless you're the first one in an area, and there's lot's of bucks of course.

The railing in my cabin, the spindles are made of buck rubs. So I put some of the sheds on the rubs. I will post pics when it is done.

Make a gun rack, make a lamp, make door handles, make chandeliers, use them for rattling, sell them, mount them, etc. However, I just mostly collect them and throw them in a pile.

I find they make very decorative knife handles.
