Windage:5-10km wind Distance: 150yds Situation:Last day of the season for your mulie buck draw and you've got about an hour left in the day and your buck is standing behind all the bush. RE: You Call the Shot 3!
I wait to see if I can get a clear shooting lane to him, and if not, I'll pass.

RE: You Call the Shot 3!
Ya i agree, i would wait for a better shoot, it not worth wounding such a nice buck if the bullet deflects. Plus theres always next year:)

RE: You Call the Shot 3!
Gotta wait for a clear shot. Chances are he's turning tail and waiving goodbye. Hopefully he'll pull up within shooting range for a look back. If not, that'shunting.

RE: You Call the Shot 3!
Wait for a clear shooting lane.

RE: You Call the Shot 3!
not with the 25-06 but if you were to step it up to a 30-06 with a 180gr round I might consider, its hard to say what the decidion would be out in the field, but the right play would be waiting...

RE: You Call the Shot 3!
30-06 is no better shooting through brush. He needs to take one step.
|
RE: You Call the Shot 3!
You might be able to shoot him at the base of the neck, but the picture isn't real clear. I'd probably wait for him to make a step.
|
RE: You Call the Shot 3!
I would wait to see if he would present a shot, if not I would use my last hour attempting tostalkhim using the windy conditions to my advantage.

RE: You Call the Shot 3!
Only a irresponsible hunter would take this shot. You wait and see if he moves.
