Opening morning success in wv!
 

me and my dad bothe nailed nice bucks this morning i got a 18-1/2 inch eight poitner with 6-1/2inch bases and he got a 17-inch eleven pointer. Plus when we checked the deer in the news crew was there and interviewed us GREAT DAY. its not often a father and son get a double on opening day, and me and him have done it twice the last time it was my first buck and his biggest mine was a 16-inch ten pointer and his was a 21-inch eleven

Sounds like you guys have a honey hole! SO how do I get there <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> Congrats on the deer they sound like great animals. Post pics when you get a chance. :)

Congratulations to you and your Dad! Sounds like two really nice bucks....look forward to seeing some pics...or maybe catching it on the news.

I was out until about 2:30 in Fayette Co. and only saw three does....but it sounded like a war was going on all around me!!

Congrats..enjoy the venison.

Hoyt, where in WV are you hunting?? I am in Hardy Co. I was out all day Mon(11/25/02) and saw only 5 does. I am around Lost River/ Mathias. Did you use any scents or calls? What time was it when guys got those GREAT bucks?? Please let me know ASAP!! I am planning to go out this weekend(11/29-12-01) and truy my luck again. So please let me know!! Thanks!!!
