Where have all the deer gone??
 

The deer must be laying low here in Southern Indiana, Sit all weekend and didnt see anything. I'm using Hawq's and everything. They must be bedding down during the day. What has everybody else been seeing.

early morning i saw a couple on sunday, on saturday i should have had my doe but i didnt get into position fast enough, thats when a buck chased a doe to all of about 15ft in front of me, and when are hunting from the ground, thats close.
deer activity is definatly down from openign weekend though.
im in north central indiana by the way

I did'nt see anything opening weekend. I seen 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday... the second weekend... killing one of those. I seen 6 of the 8 Deer this Season between 9:00-10:00.

Full moon didn't help anything. Most of the deer we saw were out between about 9 am and 4 pm.

The deer are over here in IL.
I saw a lot of deer last week, but so far they are the only ones this season.
In one day, I bumped 4 or 5 going in, had one more come check me out as I was setting up, and then had another walk by about a half hour later.

Could only take one shot, and you guessed it, I was foiled by a branch about 25 yards out that I couldn't even see in the dim morning light.

I saw a lot of deer back in bow season and I had National Guard on opening weekend of gun season. I guess all the hunters that flooded the wood have them running scared and laying low. Man, I miss bow season, sure was a lot quieter in the woods. I still have late bow though<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
