Default Success in Iowa!

Well, he's not huge, but I'm happy. I went to hunt with my brother-in-law who owns some AMAZING ground right on the Mississippi just north of Dubuque, IA. We saw some monsters, but were unable to get good shots on them. We saw 5 mounters, but only got a shot on one which we trailed for approx. 3 miles and then lost his trail. I got this 8-point, a doe, and another guy got a 9-point. I've hunted deer for about 5 years now and this is the biggest buck I've shot. I was thrilled to make a great shot on him with my shotgun and drop him where he stood.
