Thank You for your response

I wish to thank those who took their time to help with my problem. I have decided to carry both rifle and camera then make the decision which to shoot at the proper time. John

On 9/21/02 I posted the following message.

Here is my problem!

Years ago, I was a rather good hunter from Waterfowl to Bear and most everything in between. I loved the hunt. I never dispatched Fish nor Foul unless we used it for food. Since the mid 70s, I, as others of my era, have lost my desire to kill. My shooting has been reserved to the target range. The only birds I have killed lately are made of clay.

My son-in-law wants me to go Deer hunting and help teach my grandson. I want to do this ...... but, am torn about squeezing the trigger. I understand that this is my problem and that I alone must address the matter. I was wondering if there are others like myself and how did they cope?

RE: Thank You for your response

i to sometimes after taking an animal sometimes feel bad thinking that i just ended an animals life. but if we didnt hunt animals would surely live and die more horribly. disease and starvation would be the result. anti-hunters and people that just dont like to hunt dont understand that the reason most of us hunt (should be all of us) is because we love and respect wildlife, not because we like killing. as long as you take that animal legally and humanely you have no reason to feel guilty. teach your grandson to hunt. i think youll do a good job.
