Thanks for all the compliments guys.......and ya....the kids are itchy to get in the woods with me. Luckily in Vermont I see deer each time I go out.....should be easier to keep their enthusiasm up. I remember growing up in Maine and not havin much patience as a kid........maybe that's why i don't tie fly's anymore .

Salty......it's a Husqvarna Vapenfabriks 30-06 .......much lighter than their chainsaws.....but bites just as hard!

Bruce.....I'm in central vermont.....and hunt the spine of the green mountains.....Madriver Valley region.

Thought I'd put this picture up. These 2 8pt's were taken within 50yds of the buck I shot this year. Thinking it's a pretty good chance that the deer on the right may be the pappa of this years buck.

The racks are very similar...symetrical and both have short brow tines. Even if they're not.......it'll still make a good story when they're side by side on the wall
