Krista's 06 buck
 

Krista 12 {my 2nd daughter} and I hunted this evening.We set up under some small live oaks overlooking a creek crossing and a rub line.I rattled and grunted off and on three or four times over an hours time. I had just finished grunting when Krista said "there's a deer"! I looked to my right and a nice 8 point {would have been a 9 had he not broken a brow tine} was walking right down the trail towards the creek. I grunted he stopped ,but Krista couldn't get on him.We waited as he started walking again,I grunted ,he stopped. This time Krista was on him,she squeezed the trigger on my .243 taking out both shoulders.He flipped straight backwards and it was all over. This is her second buck ever,but she has taken a couple of does over the years!

That is a really nice deer. Congrats! Good to see ur getting the young ones involved in the outdoors at such a young age.

That is awesome!! Congrats to your daughter!! My 7 year old son is going with me this year and I have only killed one doe but it does not matter, he is having a blast. He helps with pulling stands and helps get dogs. He is listining and learning soo much, I am very proud of him!!

Congrats, good looking deer, beautiful little girl!

My oldest daughter is seven and we were able to get her a little buck this year too. I shot it, but she was in control of the hunt. It was a great time.
