Deductions are for different measurements from right to left. i.e. the right brow tine is 4 3/8. The left brow tine is 4 0/8. So, that's a 3/8 deduction.

Ever wonder why everyone wants to know/tell the Gross score? I think because its a better evaluation of what the animal is. The deduction stuff kind of irks me. I mean a symetrical buck is pretty but who cares if one side G2 is 1/2 inch longer.
