In a way I kind of think he views it as a competition. I don't tease him myself, much lol, but the guys at work give him hell. He really heard it good today. I can see someone getting a little jealous if their partner keeps coming out ahead and they go home empty. The thing is I wanted him to get a nice deer so he would feel good about it and have something to brag about. Maybe it's just buck fever. I've also tried to explain to him the one shot one kill ideal. That way there is no questions asked. Don't shoot unless you know you can hit the animal in the kill zone. His ideal is to just buy an automatic rifle which thank god he couldn't afford. Maybe next year he won't act the same way... I hope.
