That might be a pen raised deer . We had some do-gooders that kept stray cats , dogs , goats , etc and tried to take care of them . They didn't have the money or ability to do so and the goats and a mule had hooves like that from being penned up and living in filth . Just a thought !

I don't think deer hooves could grow like that, that would be possible in a horse, butI think deer hooves are softer and don't really grow all that fast.

there is no way a wild deer could do that.

Actually over the years I have personally killed 2 deer that looked like that. Not as long but still 1-2" longer than normal. And they were curled up also.
