RE: how to build a blind?

Well since no one posted, here goes a try.
I look for brush that is taller than I am and very thick. I like it better if it is shaped like a V this way with a little trimming I can get back into it better. ## note watch for snakes## Then I take a camo net, dark rope, 4 to 5 poles/rods that are dark and just about as tall as I am sitting and place them in the ground in a simicircle in front of me. I Tie the neting around the post and then stake it down. With a blaze orange hat and a camo face net I can look around very good. Its up to you there are many different ways.
Good luck and be safe.

Who's idea works great!
If you hunt pasture, try stacking square hay bails to sit behind at edges of fields

Hurry up and wait.

I forgot to say that I also place dead brush in front of the camo to give it a little home look. lol no really dont cut alot of fresh brush and if you do try and cut from the middle. It helps break up your form and gives a little extra cover. When you are through do Ms nature a favor and pile the brush that you have used up. Gives the quail here a place for cover.
If you are talking about somthing more mod. there are several plans for wood blinds and you can make these out of different things. Just depends on how much $$ you want to spend. They can be on the ground or up on legs.
Again one word of advice on the ground blind. Several years ago I had made a blind as I had decribed in the first post. It was nice and I had a very nice tree to sit against and ...well one thing led to another and I had a nice nap. I felt somthing and I woke up to find a 4 foot rattle snake crawling across my legs. After what seemed a life time of being VERY STILL it kept on crawling off. I then went to clean up my shorts.
Just somthing to think on.
Good luck.
