types of 12 guage slugs

i have a browning bps feild model. i used to have a remington 870 express special purpose deergun with a rifled barrel and a mossberg break action. But i sold both of them to afford my browning BPS feild model. and i can't cough up the $300 for a slug barrel. is there a difference between a 12 guage 1oz. slug and a 3/4oz. 12 guage slug?
what is the diffrence between the acceracy of a 3" and a 2&3/4 inch?
this season i used remington 3" slugger mags but when i went to the range i founs that i had to aim low at 50yds. and even lower at 75yds.
if i bought 2&3/4 inch slugs would it make my gun shoot better with out haveing to aim low?

NO NEED TO USE 3" SLUGS, JUST USE THE 2.75".

THE BARREL IS A FEILD MODEL TYPE, NOT A RIFLED BARREL?

IF ITS A FEILD BARREL AND YOU HAVE SCREW IN CHOKES PUT IN YOUR IMPROVED CYN. CHOKE, SIGHT IT IN USING REGULAR FORSTER TYPE SLUGS, USING THEM IN THIS SET UP IS BETTER THEN USING THE SABOT TYPE SLUGS WHICH WORK BETTER IN RIFLED BARRELS.

I MYSELF NEVER HAD LUCK WITH REMINGTONS FORSTER SLUGS IN MY SMOOTH BORES, BUT THAT WAS MANY YEARS AGO, TRY WINCHESTER, FEDERALS.

GOOD LUCK.

If you have a smooth barrell try Brenneke 2 3/4 in mags.

I tried quite a few slugs before I settled on Winchester's 2 3/4" foster slugs for my 12 gauge. They work real well out of my smoothbore up to about 70 yards. The 3" slugs are not necassary.

YEEEEHAAWWWWWW!!!!
