Daughters first deer

My 12 year old daughter has been sitting in stands with me since she was nine. This fall, for her birthday, I bought her a .243 and hoped that she would get to kill her first this year. Tonight she did. She killed a doe with a perfectly placed shot from about 90 yards. She was so proudand so was I. In fact, I gotthe whole thing on video and by listening to me I think I was more tore up (excited) about the whole thing than she was. Anyway, here are a couple of pics, one with her deer and the other, well just a long standing a tradition.

Congrats to her!

Enjoy these days afield with her. Seems like last week I was hugging my 12 y/o daughter as we stood beside her first deer. She's 17 now. They grow up fast.

There's nothing like watching your son or daughter put effort into a hunt and be successful. Great Job!

Congrats to you both! I did the same as you did and bought my 14 year old daughter a .243 this year and took her out on the youth hunt November 4th. We weren't on the stand 30 minutes and she drops this one. One and done.

I bet you were probably more excited than she was.....I know I was!!
Definitely a memory I will never forget.

Check out the pic and the shot placement. Measured at 71 yards. Yeah, I am proud.

Congrats again!!
