True Talker
Its five days into the season and im not seeing many deer. Can anyone give some advice on some calls using the true talker or advice on anything in general that might help. Thanks

RE: True Talker
The biggest buck I ever got I called in with a true talker. I lost mine about 2 years ago <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>. It has a very natural sounding low tone. I would recomend 2 or 3 low grunts every 10 minutes or so. I never used the squeezable top portion of the call, just cupped my hands around the opening to muffle the sound and blow softly.

RE: True Talker
I agree 2-3 cupped low tone grunts spaced apart is the most common grunt I use. I also like during chase phase and rut the tending grunt, which is several low toned grunts tacked together with no breaks. If you rattle and mature bucks are in the area a long drawn out low toned aggressive grunt can be deadly to pop them out of knarl...but it can make the smaller, immature bucks run for cover. If you are new to the grunting (calling)arena, try the first low toned grunts and wait 20 mins between. Don't make a common mistake of switching between the different calls the "True Talker" will make, just stick with one for a period of time. The grunt is a simple and usually won't result in spooking of any deer. The doe bleat can be a double edged sword, best to know what and how before you proceed!
