RE: Today's Hunt, crazy times
well 20 1/2 hours had gone by till i found my deer , i tried the first night till the blood trail got to thin to see that night, so we left a marker and got back out to look again about 9 something the next morning, found it round 12:30, the deer was on a trot , not running but not walking when i took my shot at 73 yards outand i made the mistake of not leading him right and my shot fell back and hit the gut area more than the kill zone =( we cut into him in 3 or 4 places and smelled the meat and we both agreed it didn't smell right cause of the gut shot , so i felt really bad about that , but like i said if my deer wasn't pushed by my neighbor i belive it'd been within 200 yards of my stand and i could have got it that night ,we live and we learn , next time i will stop my neighbor and also lead my deer better . thx seven
