factory 270 load

Do any of you guys use factory loads in your 270? I'm going to try three different ones and probably use the one that shoots the best. I've never used factory loads. I have 130 core lokt's, 130 silvertip's and 150 core lokt's.

I use the 130 grain Fusions. Best factory load I have ever seen.

The best factory load in my son's Encore 270 is Winchester Supreme 140 gr Accubonds. Terminal performance is incredible.

im using 130gr Core Lokts in my 270 haven't harvested a deer with them yet though hopefully monday i'll get the opportunity. I did harvest a doe and a bull elk earlier this year with federal 150gr RNSP and i was not impressed by the performance at all.

I and my son have used 150's they work great.
I picked up a box of 130 High Shock's this year and they do a awsome job as well.
I think the biggest thing as with any load if the person behind the crosshair's is doing there job,The gun(Bullet) will do it's job.

I use Winchester Supreme 140gr. FailSafe in my Savage 110. They produce dime sized groups at 100yds. All of the other brands that I have tried would only make 1.5" at the same distance. I would advise that you test as many different brands and load sizes that you can find or afford and use the one that works best for your weapon. Accuracy is by far the most important factor.

+1 on many different trying brands/weights. My A-Bolt likes Federal Vital shok with 130g ballistic tips or 140g accubonds and hornady 140g sst's.

RE: factory 270 load

I just got done shooting my factory loads. The 150 core lokt's grouped just over an inch. The 130 core lokt's cut the same hole, and the 130 silvertip's grouped about an inch and a half. The best thing about it was I did'nt even have to change my scope setting. All the bullets went to the same point of aim as my handloads. I think I'm going to go with the 130 core lokt's.

150gr. Federal Power-Shok's dropped a 10 pointer hit in the neck. Wish I could say that is where I was aiming, but I can't. Had a case of the shakes.
