Default How to tell if a point is scorable?

ive been wandering this for a while, how long does a point have to be to be considered a point and what are the guidelines to say if it is a scorable point or not?

around here a "point" is defined as a protrusion that whill hold any size ring.

I believe it has to be at least an inch and then it is added or deducted depending on the rack.

If I remember right, according to B&C to be considered a point, it must be longer than its width.

the reason i was wandering was i killed a main frame eight point and there are four kickers under the brow tine that are between and inch and 1 1/2" so i figured they were points and there were about 4 others that were in the 1/2" ranges and was needing to know. thanks for the replies.

B&C/P&Y records considerit apoint when it measures 1"(plus) in length.
