Nothing worse than a thief IMO. I had 8 ladder stands stolen off private property in one night (day before opening day of bow). Dirtbags!

RE: STOLEN!!!
I had a $250 climber stolen off a tree early this season that I had locked with a cable.
The thieves just pulled on it until the cable broke.
DO NOT use the cable locks sold at Dick's for treestands. They are worthless.
If I decide to lock my new Summit to a tree, I will be using a chain that could hold an elephant.

RE: STOLEN!!!
We had a two man treestand stolen off our property that had two rachet straps and a LOG CHAIN around it!!! The scumbags took bolt-cutters to the lock, or ruined a saw. But a two man treestand?!?! It's sad that something that big would get stolen. Now, I do the same thing someone said earlier...I carry my climber everywhere, I never leave it sit, not even overnight. We have been broken into or had something major stolen (major as in over $200)from us 6 times in the past 2 years between Canada, US, and Mexico, with police reports on all 6 (which some had a hard time believing until we showed them the paperwork!), so you better believe that I am very leary of leaving anything anywhere now. Only one was a stand, the other stuff ranged from fishing equipment to winches to $6500 stolen out of our gun safe when our backs were turned (which was done by my *former* hunting partner while he was waiting for me). Point is...where have our ethics gone?
