Morgan Co IL buck and doe (pics)
 

Ok it was opening morning of the IL shot gun season. Started out the morning seeing lots of deer and even lost count but no gave me any good shoting opps. So at about 11:00am decided I would go get my hunting buddy and we would go to lunch and come back later. Walked to the home made ground blind I had made were he was sitting and was talking to him about the morning. As we stood there talking I hear a lot of noise in the corn field and her comes a doe and a buck. I get him to sit back down and I go down to one knee. The doe comes in and wals with in 10 yds of the tree stand. I pull my gun up thinking the buck went on down the corn field because that was the last I had seen him. My buddy tells me to wait. The doe walks by and the buck comes back over a hill and gives me a 25 yd broadside shot. I took it and went through both lungs he went 10 yds and colapsed. Here is a pic of him.



I then took my niece with me the next morning. She is my brothers daughter. My brother was an advidded hunter and hunted with her until his death 5 years ago. I now take her with me when she wants to go. well we only had on deer come in and it was shortly after light when she shot her. The doe was limping and had on huff that she was going to lose do to it being caught in a fence some time this year. Her is a picture of her and her doe. hey.. nice buck and doe... im from jacksonville in fact i know her.. Jaqlyne Robson! im good friends with her. well i guess it is a small world after all.. good deer tho.. ive gotten2 does and 1 monster 8 this year.. well it was very cool to see u on here and tell her Ben Heinemann said Hi and Congrats!

Goherd I hunt in the north west corner of morgan county out of poor farm road. Hunting there since I was a kid but just started deer hunting 3 years ago. Ben I did not know you were on here but I will tell her Hi for ya. Any how thanks for the comments I also got a good sized doe on sunday and have tagged out now. Good thing is my hunting buddy still has 2 tags and will are going to be back out again in a few weeks. I just love being out there.
