Default Got a deer this morning!

This morning I thought I would step out into my back yard, and see if I saw any deer. So, as soon as i stepped foot off the porch I saw a deer, ontop of a hill. I thought it was a doe, but I dont pick and choose. So I leaned against a fencepost and watched the deer, and it kept grazing I kept getting steadier with the cross hairs, it moved broadside, and I had it in my sites, I turned off the safety, and then let her rip. I looked up and it stuttered back then it slowly walked away, but I knew I got the deer even though it was a good 250 300 yd shot. Im 15 so I had to get to school, so I walked up after waiting a minute and saw it laying down but wait, its head was up...strange as it was so it got up put its flag up but couldnt help but stumvble so I shot it one more time. I got the truck, and went to wear it layed down, still thinking it was a doe I went over and to my surprise it was a really fat spike, he had one about 4 inches and the other 3 about 5 inch apart, but hes really fat. Anyway its my first deer so I was pretty happy, and no joke I had a doe not 15 yds off when I retrieved my deer, could have got 2 if I had more tags. So anyway a friend is processing it and making it into summer sausage and jerky. Cant wait to go in the morning I got my land owners tags.
