go over to his house and follow him to church on sun. i'll bet you could have a different type of conversation with him outside of that house.

It's not as though you deliberately trespassed , and you made a more than commendable effort to make up for it . That guy isn't a neighbor , he's just an . Tell the jagoff that he's no longer welcome to hunt your land and call the game warden on him if he doesn't listen .
AGREED!!!!!! [:'(]

Unfortunately the world is full of his type, and there's not much you can do about it. I suspect someone like that is either a city fellow, or fancies himself a trophy hunter and is scared to death you'll get one of "his" deer. Either way he's within his rights to kick you off his land. Too bad that not even a fat lip can put some sense into one of those jerks

Thank you everyone. You have made most of the dread & guilt that I feel for upsetting this person go away. You are definatly the type of people that I would not mind running into in the woods. Thank You I fell really proud to call you fellow hunters. Good luck & shoot straight

i had a similar experience last year with mine. i just couldnt believe that the guy that ran me out would run out a 13 year old kid looking for his first deer. some people are just lame. (never found it and i shot one this year in the indiana youth season):)

RE: Trespass

Even though it is an unwritten rule between hunters that tracking a deer doesnt constitute trespassing. But the law says that you need permission to go on other people's land. Most people dont havea problem with that even if you dont ask permission. The CO will always side with the law even though in reality it should be the other way.

You know why he was yelling at you that far away right? its because he had your deer and didnt feel like letting you have it. he thought it was easy meat. theres a guy by my land that wont let anyone track deer on to his property. then again the guy could have just buried somoe bodys back there? creepy I might go back in the middle of the night. hmm well my curiousty has gotten the best of me again. hey BTW i live in michigan need some help :D:);)
