Well I'm back in California after a full week of hunting (in Jamestown Rhode Island). The full mooon and hot weather really screwed things up.Thedeerwere not moving on the Island. This buck was one of two shot opportunities I had the whole week! He was about 300 yards down a dirt road. He was going into the woods so I gave hima couplesoft grunts. He turned and RAN up the road to me! I nailed him at about 20 yards. Dropped him in his tracks. I thought hard about letting him walk but now I'm glad I did'nt

He didnt say he was hunting whitetail in cali i just asked if he had any success i know there is coues deer in california but as for whitetail im not sure.

I was in Rhode Island Hunting. I live in California. No Whitetails in California.

gotcha nice deer though he would have been stud next year he looks like a PERFECT 1 1/2 maybe 2 1/2 great young deer though he will taste great!
