I know what you mean about being cold Saturday. I hunted Hardin county toward Vine Grove. After the temp on friday I ran off and didn't put on thermal bottoms and left my heavy coat at home. All I had was a camo denim jacket. After a few hours I quit hunting and was trying to survive. I was cold and wet and those are not two things you want to happen to you in the woods.

Yeah i know what you mean serioushunter, this was the worst opening weekend i have ever experienced, other than saturday being rainy and windy, I didnt see one deer all weekend, and yesterday was not that bad of a day,

Nice buck, good to see somebody got something this weekend,

Theres still a lot of hunting left though so hopefully I can walk away with one like yours,

I use just the easy standard. Remington Core-locks... That way if I run out I know I can go to the store an pick some up.

The bullet actually completely penetrated and became lodged between the hide and the muscle on the opposite side. I have had that happen three times now. Twice with my 7mm-08.

congrats...i only saw a five pointer all weekend. and yea satuday mornin it was cold and drizzlin over in Butler Co.

Good luck this weekend Kentucky Hunters... Looks like the weather is going to be good for hunting, a little cold snap maybe will get those deer moving!
