Quality and Performance

What do you all feel about the quality, craftsmenship, and reliability of the Walnut Stocked Ruger m77 mk2 bolt action rifle... and also the Leupold VX2 3X9X40

Good quality gun, not fancy but nice, reliable.

Nice scope, not necessarily the best for that kind of money, but reliable. I think there are other scopes for the money that would be better.

I agree with MichaelT

Rugers are fine guns, but I prefer the older tang safety models over the MkIIs. Leupolds are generally fine scopes, but I have no experience with the VX2 model.

I have exactly this set up in 6mm remington. Ruger's triggers need to be replaced, but otherwise leupold vxII/ruger is a high quality combination.
