The question was if he sighted in at 50 yards, would he be on for shots between 40 and 150 yards. The answer is YES he would. He might not be hitting dead on at 100 or 150, but close enough to kill any deer. A .300 mag is a flat shooter and not a whole lot of drop up to 150 yards.

Josh dead on at fifty will be a bit high at 100. You are basically sighting you rifle in an inchish high at 100. Youll be good to 250 if not more. Good luck
