I will take my '06 any day of the week. But, that is JMO and we all know what those are like....;) It has always given me 1 shot, 1 kill and I have never had any problem with it.
Just sighted in for this years season on our halloween pumpkins. LOL

just about every gun will knock down adeer if you hit it right. thats just a fact I have seen deer get droped with as little as a 223 its legal in the state of Idaho and techeniqually you can hunt with any center fire in Idaho and montana which includes a 22 hornet i would never hunt with it cause thats almost cruel to the animal but to get back on topic My favotie guns for Whitetail, mule deer and black bear is the .270, 30-06, 3030, and 7mm which is very close to the .270 anyway good luck i guess im done rambling

between any of the three the 270 is the best out there. light to carry and has plenty of killin power.

I've killed deer, elk, and black bear with my 30-06. Dropped several whitetail in their tracks as well as the black bear I took in 05. IMO it's the best all around rifle caliber. BTW, I shoot 180gr.

what i said about the 270 erlier i dinit check blistics that just what i thought sorry about that but i shoot a 243 wssm that drops a deer just as easy as my brotheras 223 wssm or my dads 7mm mag
