Seeing bucks!!!
 

Went hunting Saturday morning and saw 3 bucks (6pt, 7pt, 8pt) all between 7:00 to 9:30. I passed them up since they were not but 2 to 3 years of age. I am not a rack hunter by any means but these boys were younger and I thought I would let them mature a little more. Now if I hadn't already gotten a doe, then I would have popped one.....maybe:eek: Plus in Indiana you can only get one buck and I saw a few GOOD rubs and a couple of scraps in the area, so I am thinking a big boy has staked his claim to the place. I put some Tinks 69 in one of the scrapes, so hopefully that will keep him checking on it.

here in Missouri the rut is starting and I seen a nice buck yesterday afternoon heading in the direction of my stand...however rifle season dosent start till this Saturday..I was standing on my porch when I seen him. He was agood 8 or bigger he was trotting up the field an into the woods at 3:00 pm I am now wondering now if he was bedding down at the edge of the field watching his rub and scrape line that is in view from that field...Anyways I dont usually see them heading into the woods that time of day usually there coming out of the woods around 4:00pm but the rut has started and that buck might have seen something I didnt such as a doe or he was getting into heavier cover.
