338 win mag with some pretty hot hand loads. Sometime soon I hope to shoot my uncle's 30-378 weatherby.

My dad's old Winchester 12 ga...well maybe not so much the gun....

I was 13 at the time, andhad gone out dove hunting and was low on shells, so I grabbed a couple extra off the gun rack. The last one I shot, which obliterated the dove, turned out to be a 00 buck 3" high base shell. The whole time I was trying to relax when I shot, because I would pull too much from being too stiff. Well, when I shot that last shell, I relaxed too much. When I shot,I felt my shoulder slide out of socket and back. I almost dropped the gun after I shot. All I could do was let my arm hang and try not to breath because it hurt so much. I was sore for a couple of weeks after that.

The school of hard knocks was definitely in session that day!

120mm smoothbore on an M1-A1 with service round sabots. Rifle wise, likely the Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle @ Ft. Campbell and .338 civilian wise.
