Default shout and misses-should i still hunt the area?

This morning began shotgun season here in Indiana. About 2 hrs after shooting time began (approx. 8 a.m.) I was going to leave my spot and go into town and get some coffee, because it was darn cold. I was ground hunting, sitting on a five gallon bucket. When I stood up, I saw two does about 60 yards or so down the hill from where I was hunting. I waited to see if there was a buck around but couldn't see any. The second doe was a nice sized doe, and was standing broadside toward me on the hill. I had (or so I thought) a good shot at her. Well I don't have a scope on the gun I was using, so I didn't see the small branches about 40 yds. out in my way. Well I took a crack, and missed, and upon further investigation seen where a small branch had appeared to deflect my shot. I was wondering if I should continue to hunt the area, or leave it alone for a few days until the deer settle back down. Any thoughts?

If the deer didn't smell you, it would probably be alright to hunt the area. I have known of several times where a deer would be killed on a food plot one day and another one the following day. The noise scared them, but shouldn't have ruined the area.

If this is the best spot you have, I wouldn't hunt it for a few days.
