If it is peak rut there I would not worry about and get up in that tree.

I dont see it as a issue. There was a year during gun season that off of one stand there was a buck taken at 7:15 and another at 9:30, that same morning. Than the next day 2 does.

All on the same rock taken by 4 differnt guns.

Get out and hunt!!!!

don't worry i would go hunt tommorow if it were me as long as that deer didn't get shot at he don't care because the rut makes buck crazy and they don;t really care. good luck

Well I just got back from hunting- I sat out there in the windy cold from 2:00- 5:15 and didnt see a darn thing...waste of time- I really just need to find some new hunting land, this place is pathetic. 16 times out now and only seen 4 does, even using binoculars. And none were closer than 75 yards

It depends on the area. We hunt across the street from a hunt club where guys are blasting away and phesants and clays all day. I think the deer get used toit. We'll sight in rifles and bowhunt the same area that night and still see deer. I ran 6 rounds through my .30-06 Friday around lunchtime, bowhunted 400 yards from there that night, and saw 8 deer.

I dont know- maybe it was just an off day today- I just figured shooting about 200 bullets from high powered rifles would scare them off..

During the off season I shoot on the land I hunt, but never during the season or close to the beginning of it. I want as little human disturbance as possible in an area I'm gonna hunt. Will it scare the deer off? Who knows, but your scent will be around.

I would hunt the area you are talking about just because you never know what's gonnna happen at this time of the year.
