Very glad to hear you got him before anything else did.
Nice rack! ...although I don't usually say that to men.
According to John Trout, author of Finding Wounded Deer, it's common for lung shot deer tocough in their last few breaths as they suffocate on their own blood. I witnessed this on my first deer. I was only about 25 feet from him when he died so I heard everything he did in his last 2 minutes or so.
Congrats again on both a good shot and recovery.

I used te boone and Crockett websight to measure and it came up with 138 4/8 gross and 132 6/8 net....tis one is going on the wall....he dressed out at 215 lbs...BIG DEER!!!!
