I gotta say MO, the huninng is good and you can still find land for 1000 dollars and acre around here.
I see your $1,000 an acre in missery and lower you to $500-$700 an acre in the land of the biggens, 10,000 lakes and the home of the largest harvested whitetail in hx (500lbs).

Dang Red... I will have to fold on that one!

You're wife is right I have 200 acre in sw VA and got got it for $69.000 .
there was a peace up the road 257 acres and it just sold for $110,000. All of this is vacant land. If you want a house there is a log house on 14 acres for sell right now the asking price is $125,000. Most land oround here sell for $500 to $1000,00 a acre and the taxes are cheap on my land and a 2500 sq foot home is $398.00 a year to me that is cheap but I came from Michigan where everytning is high.

Stay away from WI. THose liberals tax you to death and provide no services to your land.

Either sideof the NC/VA border. There's waterfront available on the James and York rivers in VA, and on the Roanoke and Chowan rivers in NC. In NC you'll sweat a bit in bow season, but rarely in the 2.5 month (6 deer tags) gun season.
