RE: Sight in
What kind of loads are you guys using to need your .300 WM to be 2 1/2 or 2.75 inches high at 100 yards? My dad sights his in at an inch high at 100 yards shooting 175 gr hornandy's and he shoots dead on at 200. just wondering.

RE: Sight in
It depends on what I am hunting and terrain. For deer the norm is +2" @100 allowing me to hold to 300 with 150gr NBT out of my 7mm rem mag.

RE: Sight in
In the area I hunt, mid-atlantic, a long shot is 75 yards. My slug gun is sighted 2'' high at 50 yds, and my muzzleloader dead on at 50 yards. When I hunted Wyoming this past Sept. for antelope my .308 was zeroed for 200 yds.

I thought 2.5" was far and away the norm so I've found this thread interesting. |
RE: Sight in
I sight mine in dead on at 100 yards. drops about 7 inches at 300 yards. don't even worry about the drop at 200 not enough drop to concern myself with.

RE: Sight in
I sight in 2" high at 100 yards so my zero is at about 250 yards. I hold dead on out to 300 yards. I'm shooting a 7mm Rem Mag with 150gr sierra gameking boat tails.
