For several years I was in a club - it was 90min drive, speeding. I now hunt public land, 20min drive. Club was fun - walk in cooler, 6K acres under lease, we rand dogs every weekend... but pricey and a drive. After three years of looking and learning my way around, I've found some pretty decent public land - killed 8pt last year, and two does this year. Run about to start!

I guess im kinda lucky, i usually drive about 1/2 a mile and im there, i can get up at 6 and be in my stand before 7,i really dont know what its like to even get up early, although i have done it several times to go to other places,
