Redfield "widefield" 4X, in heavy woods that I hunt, that is more than enough !!!

For what it is worth I use a Nikon Monarch 3-9X40 on my Rem 700 7mm Rem Mag and a Leupold Vari-XIII 6.5-20X40 on my Ruger M77VT MkII 26-06, and a Nikon Buckmaster 6-18X40 on my Steven 200 243. However, I think that just about any of the high end scope manufacturers make great scopes. I think that it would be difficult to go wrong with a Leupold, Nikon, Zeiss, Bushnell, Swarovski, ect scope.

My most used gun would be my Encore 209x50 which is topped with a Bushnell Banner Dusk to Dawn 3x9x40. It's an awesome scope for the money.
