Cleaning scope and binoc lenses?

what product do you use to clean dirt, sweat and other contaminants from your lenses? I have a swarovski scope and steiner binocs and don't want to damange the finish. Some have said nailpolish remover is prefered. Others say rubbing alcohol. I use compressed air to clean the dirt away to avoid scratching the glass when cleaning with a cloth, but that doesn't remove smudges, etc.

I use one of those little squeeze bottles cleaners to blow off the particles then use optics lens cleaner and silk lens cloth. Never had a problem.

It might sound a little weird, but a little vodka on a cotton swab is one of the best glass/lens cleaners around. Something I picked up from my tour of duty as a bartender.

I have been known to use Vodka, but I find it makes my scope blurry..Oh wait that is my vision....

I will have to give that a try.
