RE: fidgety hunter

I try to keep in my mind that at any second the big one is going to walk out and if I'm moving he will see it. Try to get as comfortable as possible. By that I mean good cushion, warm or cool clothes depending on the weather. That really helps me sit still. I used to have a hard time staying in one spot. I used to think that I might see something around the corner. Seldom have I ever had a good shot when out walking. They will come by you sometime. If you want to stay still and in one place, you will. Or you can always try still hunting, that keeps you moving, slowly, but moving.

A7Xfan78....almost everyone moves to some degree..just make em real slow. a more comfortable tree stand..larger..more padding will help..maybe practice sitting stiller in the off season when you are not as anxious

Try taking a benedryl before going out, as it will slow you down, maybe a little sleepy, then you will not fidget as much.

I have a handheld battleship game that I bring with me into the stand (with the sound off).

Don't focus juston getting a deer. Enjoy being out side away from all the noise and commotion and watch for different types of birds and animals. That is what I enjoy doing anyway.

Repeat this sentence over and over until a deer appears "Sitting still WILL increase my odds of seeing a deer." Works every time!
